Devil’s Bedstead Salve — Frankincense
The Devil’s Bedstead is a real peak in the Pioneer Mountains — nearly twelve thousand feet of bare rock over Wildhorse Canyon. Somebody looked at it a hundred-some years ago and decided that’s where the devil sleeps.
We hung that name on a tin of frankincense, which people have been burning in temples and working into their skin for four thousand years. A sacred resin under a devil’s name. We think both sides would find it funny.
Resin infused into plant oils, set with beeswax, poured warm into a tin that fits a pocket.
Small batch. Nampa, Idaho
