Kaniksu Bar — Frankincense & Cedar Soap

The Kaniksu is the old cedar country up on the panhandle. Some of those trees were standing before Idaho was a state. A few were standing before Idaho was an idea.

This bar is frankincense and cedar — resin and wood, the two oldest smells there are. Frankincense has been burned in temples for four thousand years. Cedar built everything north of the Salmon. Together they land somewhere between a church and a woodshop, which is about right.

Cold process, cut by hand, cured six weeks on the rack. Nampa, Idaho.
